The Houghton Boosterthon is our biggest and most successful fundraising event in which all of the students of Houghton participate in a fun glow run in the gymnasium.
So, you may be wondering, “What exactly happens at the Boosterthon Fun Run event?” Here’s a quick run-down of what you can expect at the end of our 9-day fitness, leadership, and character-based program. Students Running for a Leader Launch themed event eight days before the Boosterthon Fun Run event begins, students will learn about this year’s character theme, World Changer Workshop.
Each day brings a new character action to learn and another day closer to the Boosterthon Fun Run event. Our fun, fitness event will Encourage your children to let loose, be active and Play with their classmates!
All parents are invited to join us by attending the event and cheering on students as they run an average of 30-35 laps around the Boosterthon Speedway. The Boosterthon Fun Run event is also designed to Celebrate every student learning valuable character and leadership principles while helping their school.
The Boosterthon Fun Run event is a high-energy day, full of enthusiasm from students, teachers, and of course, Boosterthon team members. Each grade assembles in the gym and has a blast running laps while parents and teachers cheer them on, waving homemade signs, snapping pictures, and clanging Bam-Bams provided by the Boosterthon team.

Please join us in supporting the children of the Houghton Elementary School by becoming a Local Business Sponsor of our Booster Fun Run event, usually held in November each year.
In becoming a sponsor, your business logo will be put the back of our personalized t-shirts each child at Houghton will wear the day of the event, along with mentions on our Facebook/Instagram page, in our PTO meetings, in the Principal’s weekly messages to all of the Houghton community and during the Fun Run event.
Please see the sponsorship levels listed below. The higher the level, the larger the logo and better placement on the shirt and higher on the list when sponsors are mentioned.
Platinum- $1000
Gold- $700
Silver- $500
Bronze- $250

Payment can be accepted in the form of a check made out to Houghton PTO or Venmo @Hougton-PTO. If mailing a check, please make it out to HOUGHTON PTO and mail to Houghton Elementary School, C/O PTO, 32 Boutelle Road, Sterling, MA 01564.
