Library

Volunteering in the school library is a unique opportunity to interact with your child during their day, as well as contribute to and encourage all of the students’ love of reading! Volunteers have the option of choosing whether or not to volunteer during their child’s class library time or another time. It can be quite the treat for the kids when their parents (or grandparents, in some cases) are there during their library time!

For those that don’t know, Houghton’s library is volunteer-run by the parents and we can use all the help we can get! If you are interested, please check “Volunteer in the Library” on the PTO volunteer form and someone will reach out to you.

VOLUNTEERS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE CORI ON FILE

The CORI form can be found on the WRSD website, on the PTO website homepage, or on the Forms page of the PTO website. Kindergarten parents - a copy of this form has been included in the "Welcome Back" packet you receive at the beginning of the year, for your convenience.

A note for new and returning parents: Students are not able to check books out if they have one overdue. Please return any library books you have at home as soon as possible. If a book cannot be found, we ask you to cover the cost of the book so we are able to replace it.

We are excited for another year of fun and learning in the library!

Thank you for your support!
