There are so many ways to get involved at Houghton, and it doesn’t require you to take on a board position to do it! Whether you have the flexibility to come in during school days, or could just help out for an event or two, we have a lot of opportunities to lend a hand and get involved! To sign up for any of the below opportunities, please fill out the google form share your contact information. A coordinator will be in touch regarding your selections.
Please note: all volunteers coming in to school must have an active CORI on file. A CORI form can be found here. CORIs expire after two years, please be sure yours is up to date!

Be a librarian for the afternoon! Come in during your child’s library time once a month or two. Help students checkout books, reshelve returns and tidy up the shelves. Training provided!

Join the list for helping with occasional events! Add an extra hand for events such as: mum distribution, Meet the Teacher night, Book Fair & Literacy Night, Teacher Appreciation Week and Field Day.

Can’t make it in for events? We often seek donations! Contribute baked goods, food, and drinks for teacher breakfasts and luncheons. Donate giftcards or prize baskets for Teacher Appreciation Week.
